Fear can be crippling

Fear can clutch at you and make you feel like you can’t move or think or breathe. I’ve talked before about the fact that God has not given us a spirit of fear, which means you can rest assured that the fear you are feeling is NOT from God.
OK, you may say, if that’s true, now what? Let’s look at Isaiah 41:10 for clues. It says: “Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.”
What does God say about fear?
- We are not supposed to live in fear because God is with us! You can’t get a better protector and defender than God!
- When I start to feel fear rise up within me, I remind myself that God is greater than that emotion.
- I put my trust in Him. I stand on victory ground because of Jesus and His righteousness. That victory ground is my safe place, and there isn’t room for fear to claw it’s way up that hill!
