Who can heal your broken heart?

Psalm 147:3 says:
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
When I read that verse, it takes my thoughts to Luke 4:18. There, Jesus, being full of the Holy Spirit, has come to the synagogue in Nazareth. The people bring Him the scroll of Isaiah, which He opens to what we call chapter 61. This is part of what He read: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me … and He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted … In verse 21, Jesus went on to make it clear: He was the long-awaited Christ. I hope that you can take that in and really meditate on the fact that Jesus was sent in the flesh to heal your heart.
