Strength For Today

Do you need strength to face today?

Have you been feeling wrung out? Are you tired and don’t have enough energy?

In this Points to Ponder, you’ll hear how to find strength for the days ahead. Watch the video here.

Scripture inspired

My teenage nephew has been sending me scriptures each morning, and it’s been such a joy to have that spark of encouragement to come through the Word. This morning, he sent Isaiah 40:31, which says, “They that wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

What can you learn about ENERGY from this scripture?

No. 1: All you have to do is wait

Some promises in scripture have action attached to them, something for you to do. Like honor your father and mother, SO THAT your days may be long and it may go well with you. In Isaiah 40:31, it tells you to WAIT! But what does that mean? It means wait in expectation. Look for God to show up. Have your hope in Him. Commit yourself to His guidance. How can you be PATIENT enough to wait for the Lord’s direction?

No 2: Your strength is renewed

Now that you know how to have your heart in the right place, waiting on the Lord for guidance, you’re ready for part 2: renewing your strength. That sounds pretty good to me, right now! This scripture tells you that God gives you the strength to implement whatever He’s leading you to do. The benefit of waiting on God, fully humble, trusting in Him, is that He gives you His great power to face whatever your day holds! What would it mean to you to have YOUR strength renewed?

No 3: It’s time to soar

Let’s paint a picture in your mind: Can you imagine yourself as an eagle soaring in the sky? Well, that’s what this says: You should mount up with wings as eagles. Imagine yourself flying up towards God, soaring swift and strong, and you’re doing it with His strength. What can this image do for you on the days when you feel your strength fading?

Wait on Him

I hope this word has encouraged you today to know that the strength for your days ahead comes from the Lord. And all you need to do to access that strength is to wait on Him!
